"The Me Syndrome"
by Leslie D.
The "Me Syndrome" doesn't exist exclusively in the crossdresser. I've observed it in wives too. It takes the form of "Poor me, I have to put up with this awful problem of his!" or "Poor me, he shaved all his body hair and now I don't feel like I have a man to take care of me!" Too often, crossdressing is a dumping ground for wives who suffer from a myriad of problems themselves. For example, I see serious security problems in a woman who needs a hairy man beside her in order to feel safe!

What usually is behind most wives complaints about crossdressing is concern about what others will think of them. This is a form of the me syndrome too. Most of the world could not care less what my husband is wearing, so why should I? And if someone out there does care what he's wearing, I tend to wonder what's wrong with that someone, not what's wrong with "ME."

I guess what I'm saying is that everybody should have more respect for their partner's feelings and be able to see their points of view as well as their own.
